I am so tired and sick. As opposed to sick and tired. That was yesterday.
I’ve lost one of my beta readers due to her moving and being very busy. My back up isn’t responding through email.
I’m looking for a UF-oriented beta (as opposed to romance oriented) who can give me a very quick read through. I might have gone too sappy and you will need to tell me if I did. “I love you it’s the bestest” is nice, but I’m looking primarily for: Kate doesn’t sound like herself, Curran turned wimpy, and what the hell does this scene even mean? type of feedback. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to save me from looking like an imbecile.
I require absolute confidentiality. All of the manuscripts I email are coded. The versions my betas get are different, and since I only have two other betas, if the manuscript is leaked, I’ll know it’s you. If you show the manuscript to anyone, prepare for my undying hate.
Preference is given to people I know.

If you need a new beta, how can you be done with revisions? Or was this just the last time you can use your current beta, and so for the next book you need a new beta? I know that sounds slightly anal, but I was confused, but I’m glad you are done… if you are done. I thoroughly enjoy the series!
The contact form is not working for me, it keeps saying sending but it never does.
How long do we have to decide? There are plenty of pros and cons.
What type of time frame do you require? ie: You send the first draft on Monday and need us to get back to you by Tuesday? What’s a UF-oriented beta mean?

which means whoever gets to review needs to be more concentrated on the UF of the story (the story line itself beyond the romantic spots). I mean, I am assuming she was triying to say that the books have a romantic side but they dont want them to become a lovers soap opera, so they need to make sure the limits are there and everything makes sense 
Adriana, I think so too. I guess she means that the beta should kind of make sure to sound the alert if the story gets too romance-orientated.
anyway, ILONA, congrats on finishing the revisions and get well soon. alternating between being sick and tired and tired and sick does NOT sound good.

I hate work once again I miss out on something cool. Big Sigh.
I’m done with the revisions. That doesn’t mean that I haven’t gone off the deep end somewhere and wrote something that will make people’s hair stand on end. I’m perfectly happy for example to forget to wrap up a plot thread and hand it off to the editor with “I’m done!” on it.
