I disobey! I post one thing!

I disobey Gordon’s Internet Ban.

I post one thing.

Marvel of modern knitting engineering

Look!  Two socks at the same time.

Kats and dogs sleeping together.  Mass hysteria.

Okay, I go now.

  2. 3girlmom

The socks look great! Well done!!!!

The socks look great. Get your rest while you are on lockdown, because I just finished On the Edge and the Kate 4 snippet on the back and you are going to be inundated with MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE. On the Edge was great, and now I am on the edge for the second installment, with the added bonus of the snippet I will be catatonic untile June. Thanks

    Those look fab!

In sock knitting, you can start at toes OR at the top. I usually start at the top and work down. So many different methods.

Good Luck on your sock project

Love the colors. :) If this is what you’ve been up to since the ban, I’d say it’s been a productive.

  8. MaryK

Cool! I want to learn to knit.

  9. Sandra Rosa

lol my friend usually starts at the toes because she’s never quite sure how much longer she’s can make the socks and she hates to waste wool (we’re talking about the most loose knitter i’ve ever seen)

Ilona, you are such a rebel!

The socks look really cool. Knitting two at once is extremely efficient!

One day, I plan on making myself some silk Elizabethan-style hose. Mmmm, silk stockings…

Ok now I want to try knitting too! Must focus on sewing more quilts lol

    Hai! Nice 2 see u :)

Nice socks! (I know nothing about knitting but I say this from an aesthetic point of view…AND they match and look cute! :) )

I never thought you could start knitting socks from the top :S once again Im lost when it comes to knitting, sewing, or any house related shores…

Oooh, I can’t knit for my life! My aunt Angelina (Granny’s sister) knits every winter wool socks for me, they aren’t the kind of socks you use with shoes but they’re made to use at home and they’re warm and soft! Perfect to watch tv on the sofa!

One one circ no less!!! Go you! I always end up doing two on two circs, because that’s how my brain can handle it.

From the cord on that needle I am guessing you went to knitpicks?

Also, I was up so late reading Edge last night….I finally crashed towards the end, but it’s a very good book. :)

Very cute colors! I’m a sock knitter too, the only bad thing about liking that hobby is that it doesn’t coincide well with reading — I need an extra pair of hands! :)

  18. electricpeppers

Ooh pretty coloured socks. Well done!

  19. Allie

I think your socks are funky ;)

I read On The Edge and loved it. I have day-dreams of Curran and Declan fighting for my affections *le sigh*

    p.s. I was a child in the 80′s – Ghostbusters reigns supreme!

I don’t knit socks, but I have been told doing 2 socks at once is a real challenge. For those of you who would love to learn to knit, contact one of your local yarn shops. Even AC Moore and that other store whose name I will not mention have classses on beginning knitting. BUT if you really want to be sucked into the dark side, go to an independent yarn store and touch all the yarns…this is no longer your Mama’s yarn!

Ilona, I love your books. Keep up the great work!

    Someone’s been watching Ghostbusters. :D
