GoodReads craziness

goodreads-craziness
Someone emailed me about this, so I might just as well throw it out there before I get more questions.

Magic Bleeds at GoodReads has a rating and some reviews.

No, this does not mean that ARCs went out.

No, these people are not beta readers.

No, these reviews have nothing to do with the content of the book.

No, this doesn’t mean that you have been taken off the ARC list.

Here are the facts:  Magic Bleeds is on the desk of our editor, who has yet to read the revised version.  Besides her, me, and Gordon, only three people have seen the revised version and I didn’t recognize any of them from GoodReads.  :)   I have no idea how these guys are rating the book that hasn’t come out yet, but I know they did not read the manuscript.

Simmer down nao.

:D

Those reviews usually just say “I can’t wait for…” and rate based on anticipation.

Because we’re that sure it would be good. Even if it hasn’t come out yet. ^^ You might take that as a compliment :)

You know, there’s been a couple of times when I read a review that I have wondered if the reviewer even read the book.

There have been times I read a back cover and KNEW whoever wrote it didn’t read the book!

I skipped into the future for 6 hours, read Magic Bleeds, and returned just so I could tell you all that it is an excellent book to read. Much love! *Muah ha ha ha*

lol. I understand the five star ratings are anticipating the release, but what are the lower ratings? o.O lol. Weird.
