My goodness! It seems we all have very similar tastes..yay! Usually everyone who walks by me at work and see me reading a romance novel during lunch makes snide comments. Heathens! Have any of you ever read some of the following authors?

Sally MacKenzie – Naked Baron, Naked Duke, Naked Gentleman, etc. ( she makes me giggle)
Stephanie Laurens
Nicole Jordan
Celeste Bradley
Candace Camp

And for those who like Paranormal…I love:
Sherrilyn Kenyon
Robin D. Owens
Nalini Singh (love them all but for some reason really love Angel’s Blood and Archangel’s Kiss)

And my absolute favorite, other than Ilona of course, ANNE BISHOP!

Love Kleypas. The Wallflowers series is amazing, but I love the Hathaways also – particularly the first one. The second book won the Rita, but the first one – I’d put Cam up against St. Vincent any day, as his equal. Love those bad boys.

Someone to Watch over Me is another of my favorites.

Loretta Chase and Mary Balogh are two of my favorite romance novels. I’ve recently been tracking down Chase’s out of print works. They are worth the effort. I just finished The Last Hellion (companion book to Lord of Scoundrels). Both are awesome. There are two other books in this very loose series. I’ve read one of them but could not get The Lion’s Daughter. Yet. The other one I read is okay, but I probably won’t re-read it. I’m too lazy to go check the title.

If you haven’t read the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole – well, you are missing a *lot*. My favorites are A Hunger Like No Other and Dark Desires After Dusk. Seriously funny and very sexy heroes.

i agree read julie garwood’s historical fiction not her comtemporary her humor is done better in the old books

I laughed out loud at Sebastian’s reaction to the fight over the icon, but this is the book I keep tissues on hand when I reread. Lord of Scoundrels is my gold standard for romance.

If you like Kleypas you must try Eloisa James Desperate Duchesses series. Great girlie books when you need a break from dark and twisted or can’t stand the thought of one more vampire or werewolf!

Ditto. Except I tend to be more psychologically disturbing than gruesome, though I have a bit of that, too.

Loretta Chase’s The Last Hellion and Lord of Scoundrel’s are two of the best romances ever in my opinion. I also love Kleypas’ books.
