My Day

my-day

Today we went to run errands and shop.  I suppose I am a bit atypical in that I hate shopping.  Mention shopping and my eyes glaze over.  Gordon’s aunt, who is a champion shopper, would invite me to Belks sometimes and I would sit down on the floor somewhere and occasionally dose off.  But groceries are bought and the check out lady was predictably weirded out.  “Toasted seaweed wrappers?  Is that for that raw fish thing?”

Watched LEGION.  I enjoyed it, so it’s about a B for me.  I feel like the angels were an excuse to make a zombie movie.  It’s like they looked at a script and said, “Hmm, here we have a zombie movie, but everybody else is putting out a zombie movie.  What to do, what to do…  Let’s make them into angels.”  Also, it’s not a LEGION, if there are only two angels in the movie. :(   The PROPHECY still reigns supreme.

Also recently watched PARANORMAL ACTIVITY – creepy.  Very nicely done.

Still no news to share.  My news odyssey has been going on for about two months now and I thought for sure there would be news today.  But, alas, no.  Maybe next week.

Am so sleepy.

Must nap.  Just half an hour.  And then I will answer questions and mess around on my test blog.

Thank you for making Jill feel welcome.  Of course you know, that now we’ll have to write a Kate Daniels quiz.  :D

I hear you about shopping. I detest it, especially grocery shopping. I swore if I ever get rich and famous someone is doing that for me. And I’m sitting closer to the front of the airplane rather than back in steerage with the goats and chickens.

Your news will come at the proper time and it will great news. Just sending out that vibe. And yes, please do a Kate Daniels quiz! That would be awesome unless I come up as a vampire again. Your vamps are just too creepy (euuu!)

I love shopping if I can go BY MYSELF. It doesn’t matter if it’s for groceries or ball gowns. If I have to bring the kids I just want to cry instead.

Totally feel for you. I hate shopping, too. That’s why I do most of it online I usually take a book and sit outside the dressing rooms until everyone is done. :D

BTW, I would love a Kate quiz

Haha, shopping has never been my thing either. The only places that my hunting-and-gathering gene kicks in is in the yarn isle of Michael’s and Best Buy. (I’m a knitting tech geek– which can’t be that rare. Right?) But clothing/grocery/department store shopping… ick.

Also, lol. “That raw fish thing”? Do you make homemade sushi? Because that’s just about the best thing ever. I discovered a wonderful blogsite online with sushi roll recipes and how-to’s, and they’re tons of fun to make at home!

… still lmao @ “must write gooder” ^^…

Any movie with Christopher Walken, Eric Stoltz and Viggo is gonna be extremely hard to top.

That Lucifer portrayal in The Prophecy was so creepy…really set the mood. Wasn’t til I went back and watched it again after having seen the Lord of the Rings that I realised “omg, it’s Viggo!!” If you ever have a spare moment try and catch either ‘Eastern Promises’ or ‘A History of Violence’. Both excellent movies. Not for the kids, though, unless they’re mature kids.

Course, now that you’ve brought Christopher Walken to mind I had to go back and re-watch youtube videos of him dancing in “weapon of choice” , and singing “Delilah” ^^.

    The man’s a living legend.

I am with you, I always thought that the actor who played the devil in the Prophecy was the bomb but did not know who he was until LOTR came out. We own ‘A history of Violence’ as it was a comic first, but not ‘Eastern Promises’ but have watched it about 3 or 4 times. A good early Christopher Walken movie is ‘Dogs of War’ or even ‘King of New York’ those are both good.

a quiz, a quiz, a quiz … sorry, it’s too late to write something intelligent. :)
I don’t dislike shopping in general. I just can’t stand the 8h shopping marathons some people love so much. If I need something I go and look for it and if I find just that I’m happy. Mission completed.

A Kate quiz would be nice. I don’t know how many species would be viable options but the Factions page of the Kate website might be good inspiration.

I can do shopping–and even get excited over it– but I get very tired and bored fairly quickly. I like to have some goals to it first.

I saw Legion but was a bit disappointed in it. It really did feel more like a zombie movie with something different to add to it. I actually would give it more a C. >_>

Shopping equals torture, if it’s for me and it’s not a bookstore. I like to get in, get what I need and get out.
A Kate Quiz would be fun and interesting!

The only shopping I get into is ‘thrifting’.
Loved Walken in the 2003 version of ‘Man on Fire’. Walken and Denzel – hard to beat.
    Kate quiz? Oh goody!

Completely agree about the shopping! When going clothes shopping with my family, I’m the one sitting on the stand displaying the clothes models, wishing I brought a book! (there aren’t enough chairs in shops!
