On the left a living room waited with a large gray sectional sofa. Up ahead was the door to the bedroom. On the right was another door.
“Bathroom,” I said.
He carried me through the door on the right. An enormous bathtub took up most of the room.
Hot water. Heaven.
“Do you mind if I take a bath?”
He lowered me to the floor gently. “Can I get you anything?”
I shook my head and began to strip. He waited to make sure I made it into the tub and left.
I sat and ran the water so hot it was near boiling. Even with the water up to my collarbone, the tub still had a foot and a half of space left.
Sometime later he walked in, carrying a glass of water with ice.
“Do you need to be somewhere?” I asked.
He shook his head.
I scooted over to the side. He stripped his clothes off and slid into the tub with me. I leaned against his chest, with his arm around me, and we sank into the hot water.

Saiman always gives Kate ice water and has monochromatic decorating. Just saying….
Paybacks Curran for missing dinner and not returning calls?
Boo! I hadn’t thought of that. But now when I re-read it, I can totally picture it being Saiman.
I think I’ll go brood in the corner now.
Am I the only person who likes Saiman? Curran annoys me with his arrogance.

Dawn, I’m with you. I think this is Kate with Saiman. He’s only been trying to entice her for ages. But eventually I’m hoping that Curran will have a good reason for pushing her away in the way that he did…maybe to protect her. And eventually they’ll get together…hope, hope
I refuse to believe either of you……….It’s just too depressing………The only way I will consider it, is for a completely non-sexual comfort scenario……..She just doesn’t find Saiman attractive, regardless of Curran’s behavior.

it’s not fair. snippets make me wish for may to hurry up and get here but i really can wait for may cos i have stupid exams :’( oh well. i guess the book’ll make revising bearable… or ya know be a huge distraction

I’d like to think it’s Curran, but I would think there’d be more discussion on the size of his chest, and possibly flexing of the arms, and some discussion on the difficulty of fitting in the bathtub with him…..although it is mentioned that the bathtub is enormous.

I’ve been thinking about this. HAS to be Curran. He would need a huge tub. This scene
seems to be at the end of the book. I’m guessing the VERY end. Kate and Curran have
settled their differences, already been intimate (otherwise why would she invite him into the tub without a lot of hesitation), their current adventure is at an end, and now time to relax. End book.
Maybe just maybe its not Kate could be someone else …..
But I am wishing with all my little heart it is and it is Curren

Hmmm…my guesses are…end of book- Kate makes up with Curran (or rather the other way around…), for some unknown reason- Kate agrees to sleep with Saiman, something along the lines of seduction for something- Hugh, completely unknown- Nick, or some unknown character….
This snippet had me grinning like crazy!! It didn’t even occur to me that it’s anybody but Kate and Curran!!..The size of the tub I think gives it away.
It can’t be Saiman. Saiman makes Kate’s skin crawl, why would she ask him to get in the bath with her??
There’s no way it is Saiman, the others are right, Kate doesn’t even like being in his presence after what happened in the snow on his apartment roof, plus Saiman is a smaller sized male (when he chooses to be), so it had to be Curran. ooooh yeah. CANNOT WAIT FOR MAAAAAY!!!!
Saiman is whatever size he chooses to be, and goes for whatever is most irresistible to whomever he’s with… just sayin’… and I think Kate is less p.o.’d at him now after everything that happened at the Games. But I do think that if it IS Saiman, it’s platonic.
totally kate and curran. Kate is not some fly by the night floozie! She barely has relationships with anyone. She seems very comfortable and accepting of this man in her life and I reeeeeeally don’t see her creating that kind of connection with someone other than curran
this could also be andrea and raphael. they have a big tub in the hyena’s house i hope it is kate and curran but you never know.
Andrea wouldn’t get into that tub again if you paid her.

The only thing i know now for sure is, that May will be a great Month this year! A few days after my birthday, the book will arrive. I think it´s going to be the best Present
I don´t really wont to speculate about this snippet, because if i have a fixed opinion, which could be wrong, i will be disappointed.
So i just smile and enjoy this little snippet, which i really, really love! Because it shows, that at the end, no matter what will happen, there is at least one person who support her! That is very important to me
Its not Saiman..the lounge description would be different and surely the huge windows Saiman has in his apartment would be mentioned
in Magic Bites Chapter 4 Saiman’s place is white with three doors off the lounge room…..unless its not his place
I really, really want it to be Curran. The whole “Do you need to be somewhere?” thing makes me think it’d have to be… who else has such pressing problems? I mean, to leave her after she has to be carried and she’s naked…?
I think it’s Kate and Jim…. you know – a friendly relaxing session.

Wow what a snippet. I am so hoping that Curran and Kate work it out. But, this makes me worry…..This sounds like Saiman’s place to me. You described in a Snippet from the anthology story of how Kate and Saiman meet. I hope I’m wrong.

My Crazy mind at work! Lol
1. Could be Curran but I don’t think so. Doesn’t seem very intimate.
2. Saiman … well could be seemed supportive and no biggie about the nakedness and face it he is always naked and does bring her ice water as mentioned buy someone in an earlier post. She also does know the layout of his place and I didn’t hear mention of a kitchen (Clue from another Snippet), or a lab (Could be the other door).
3. Derrick… I could totally see it in a friendly way. she wouldn’t betray Julie’s crush and she sees him as younger family.
4. Jim… yup him too they are close and nakedness and touching as friends for comfort seems okay even if in earlier snippets refers to the surprise Curran has that Jim trust her. Hmmm could be some secret feeling there with him.
Hell, it could be Andrea and her sexy Hyena!
Lol. Okay my brain has many other possibilities. They all work for me! That’s why I love books and never watch TV anymore. Hate being able to figure out the movie in the first ten minutes or so. Books leave many avenues and I never know till it gets there. Thankzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Ya’ll ROCK !!
Just finished reading the reviews.. Seems like everyone also forgot she was pretty comfy stripping and showering with Dr. Azz from the morgue. Then sleeping on his chest. Could be them and friendly too. Lol So many things to drive you to total insanity ! Hurry up May 25th !!! Spin Earth, Spin !
