Darker blue T-shirt
So if you have been keeping up with the blog, you will already know that we ordered about a dozen shirts for the signing at Powell’s on the 25th. Originally the shirts were meant for Peter and his staff as a thank you for hosting the signing. Also as a result of Kid 2′s awesome if somewhat unorthodox modeling of aforementioned shirts, there has been speculation as to whether the shirts can be ordered and if they will be given away at the signing. Yes and yes.
Here is the deal. As Ilona mentioned, we went to Powell’s yesterday to give some shirts to Peter and found out that there will be only one other Powell’s employee working the signing. That leaves us with several extras, both L and XL for the signing. So in yet another attempt in our ongoing but somewhat futile effort to be cool, we are giving three away.
This is also sort of a test to see if people would want to order Kate and Curran shirts in the future. So to enter for a chance at one of the shirts, please tell us what you would want to see printed on a tee.
It could be a lion, a tiger, or a bear (yes, oh my). I thought people might like to have them with the clan affiliation of their choice.
It could be a quote from the books.
It could be an image from the website.
Light Blue T-shirt
If the response is positive we will start getting tees printed up and available on the website for very close to cost. We are not trying to make money off them, just make the fans happy (and get some free advertising). The T-shirts are likely to be printed around $10-15 each, so the price would be around there too.
Winners will be chosen at random but we will also be paying close attention to the suggestions and seriously taking your opinions into consideration when we order more shirts.
The contest ends on Thursday 8:00 a.m Pacific time. Winners will be announced on the same day.

I want a lion shirt with something Curran said.
I would LOVE a shirt. I think the shirts in dark blue or even black would be a nice touch. “Here kitty, kitty” is a given, but any of Kate or Curran’s famous lines “As you wish” would be awesome.
Like the contrast of the black, dark blue, light blue and red. I think I would have drawn the red across the design by placing a small amount of red blood on the female figure’s sword at the top right (which would also match your new web look). Would love to give you free advertising here in Chicago!
Oh this is so much fun just thinking of all the ideas! I think quotes would be the best, it’s hard to resist reading other peoples shirts, so you would get lots of advertising. Clan symbols or silhouettes would be great additions. I don’t think I would be as interested in a shirt with a big photo on it.

I’d love a shirt! I agree with everyone about having quotes on the shirt. You guys write some of the best dialogue and one liners which should be featured on your shirts.
I love the existing blue design on the black background. I’d be up for the front being plain and the back having the design and quote on it though.

I agree with what has been previously said, in the I like having the larger image on the back w/ something small on the front left/right (ie a quote, name or something). The quotes would be awesome – “Here Kitty, Kitty” is my favorite; luv the Kate vs Curran scenes!! Cannot wait for the 25th!! Thank you so much for all you guys do!!
Quotes with a small image on the front and a larger picture on the back. I like the idea of the tattoo or what is on the banner. Dark colors. Whatever you decided on would be good.
I would buy a Kate and Curran shirt in a heartbeat. I like the scene up above the blog on the shirt, but the idea of choosing your clan that’s cool too. Sorry, but you can’t go wrong either way.
T-Shirts would be awesome. I would buy just about any kind of Kate Daniels Series Tees.
Clan affiliation t-shirts would rock, but so would curran and kate t-shirts. I’d love to have a t-shirt with something affiliated with the ‘here kitty kitty’ line, because I can honestly say that line is the reason I really got hooked on these books. Also- the pie. I love the part where curran ate kate’s last piece of pie. Or when curran was picking out the peas out of the chinese food- that was awesome. ^_^ Andrea, Derek, and Jim are also awesome roxxors. ^_^
The tshirts are such a great idea. I’d love one with “Here kitty, kitty, kitty”…or “aim for the nuts”
And because I love Raphael and Andrea so much I’d also buy tshirts with Raphael’s: “Don’t worry, we have an excellent filtration system.” or with Andrea’s “It’s good I’ve got Boom Baby.”

I think the lion with most of his body hiding in shadows and the quote “here kitty, kitty” would be great. Lol. I would definitely order one!

I would love to buy a Magic series shirt. What about one with just a lion face looking out, and the quote “Here, kitty kitty” That would be sweet. Images used on the site would be neat, too. I would pretty much be happy with anything, though. Especially multiple designs.
I just have one request. Make some in plus sizes. Up to 4x if you can, 3x if you can’t do the 4x. I would gladly pay a little extra for them. 
I would totally buy a shirt with a prehistoric lion and “Here, kitty kitty!” on it!
I also love the idea of a shirt with Kate’s tattoo, it would be more cryptic.

A picture of a lion, and one of Kate’s words of power, the one that means MINE (I think Hesad? I don’t have my book at the moment- but the word, maybe with translation).
Other ideas that other people had that I really liked were “Here, kitty, kitty” and “Magic Bleeds/Burn the Bandages”. Plus, the picture of an apple pie that someone suggested is really funny.
defiantly needs to be a lion with “Here Kitty, Kitty.” think it should be on a dark colored shirt.
Def. a quote. Doesn’t really matter what it is as long as it was memorable.

I really like the idea of a picture/silhouette of Kate’s Tat with “Dar Vorona” below it. I like the idea of “Here Kitty Kitty”, or some other quote. Another idea: Have “Please before, Thank you after” and keep it maybe inside joke-ish without being obvious. Everyone’s ideas are so great, I don’t think you could go wrong. I also would appreciate leaving swearwords off any shirts, as I am a teacher and couldn’t wear it to work if it had any.

T-shirts would rock! I don’t really know what images, but I think these quotes would be fantastic:

I’d love a shirt! Quotes are my favorite choice and there have been some great ones already listed. It’s hard to top “Here kitty, kitty” but “Please before and thank you after” is a close second. A shirt with Kate’s tat design could also on my list of must buys *grin*
I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but I love “here kitty, kitty, kitty.” Maybe with Kate on the front with the quote and Curran on the back. I also liked someone else’s idea of Kate with the power word Hesaad and Curran on it. I like the dark blue color best for the shirt. I’ve read some snippets from Kate 4 and had to stop myself because too much has been spoiled already. Thanks for the great plots and characters!
I’d prefer something simple, like a black shirt with stylized text in white or red. Just the author’s name, or book titles, or some power words (would be fun to see people trying to figure out what the words mean).
These are beautiful shirts! I would definitely buy one. I would love to win one.
Other designs… I really like the aforementioned idea of using a quote – maybe putting the quote on the front and the associated book cover on the back (or vice versa). Having the cover somewhere on there seems like great advertising, and, of course, the covers are beautiful.
I tend to like lighter colors for tee shirts, like light blue or purple.

While I love the idea of the primal lion with the “here kitty kitty” comment; I also think that it could be awesome to have something with the “you will say please before and thank you afterwards” tagline. There are just so many great quotes and ideas in the comments that it was hard narrowing myself down to just two! I like the idea of a long sleep shirt in dark colours; with the big graphic on the back; with something smaller on the front.
OK – new quote suggestion for shirt (because I was laughing out loud at it): “Do men often tell you you’re enchanting?” “No. Men often tell me a I hit very hard.” Hint, hint.

Having the covers on the shirt along with a quote, or instead of the cover art than something similar that has been hiding out on the site.

Perhaps printing in batches? and swapping quotes when a new batch comes up? that way there would be more variety and you could keep up with more popular quote/ quote combinations.

OK, I have to give an idea to get a shot at winning, so here goes …
A T shift with an image of Curran’s arm with furred claws extending from it. Behind his arm an image of Slayer with the milky white glow … basically the scene from Magic Bites when Kate and Curran meet and Kate challenges whether Curran can still do his own dirty work. I see Slayer and Curran’s arm crossed, like an X.
Below the image the following quote from Magic Strikes:
“You can’t resist my subtle charm, so you’re afraid you’re going to make a spectacle out of yourself.”

On the subject of t-shirts, my wishes would be:
1) The current site wrapper, ’cause that is absolu-tively how I picture Kate. I loves it. And, then, you know, I might want to get the next one, that matches the next release wrapper.
2) The bookplates. I would like on a t-shirt. Would love, love, love on a pint glass or stein or mug. So maybe there’s some branching out for you.
