Sick

sick

Sick.  Head hurts.  Must work.

I just can’t kick this crud.  Maybe I will get some hot tea soon.  All I want to do is stick my head into the pillow and pretend to be a mushroom.

I hate BAYOU MOON.  Die, book, die.

I hate Kate 5.  You die too.

Everybody is dead and now I can be a mushroom in peace.

Queen Bitch Brook, who is much awesome, is giving away books: http://royallybitchy.blogspot.com/

If you never got a chance to pick up Kate series, this is your shot for a signed set.

I was going to offer up some rocks to throw so you could be a mushroom but if you’ve killed them both off I think you’ll be fine!

    Feel better soon

Stress does it every time. Indulge in hot tea, baby yourself. Once the book launch has passed you’ll find the energy to get back to the manuscripts. Sometimes you just have to take some time off, deadlines be damned.

Colds suck! (I know, as my husband and I are just recovering from one) (also, you do have a cold do you? or is it just me projecting my own misery on other people’s situations?)
    Anyway, get well really soon!
As for the cures – I vote for hot milk with honey and butter (and maybe some baking soda, but I hate it this way, so I don’t insist :) )

    If you need anything…

Echinacea, Natural non processed honey in your tea will help too, and less stress. I vote for turning off your emails until after the release. Take a bit of email vacation. You deserve it

Sorry you are sick. I had a lovely cold two weeks ago, and since I am pregnant I couldn’t take a thing for it. I thought I was going to die. Blegh.

I hope you start to feel better soon. I can send you some of my HAPPY… Magic Bleeds finally arrived at my bookstore today. I did a little happy dance at the register and make two sales clerks laugh at me.

I second (or third?, whatever) the vote for tons of tea and a hot bath. Chamomile, or peppermint, maybe throw in a bag of rooibos to make it yummier. I hope you feel better.

But the books love you, yes, they do:) We love you too. Drink hot tea, and chicken soup with some ginger added to that. Add it to the tea too. Then if that doesn’t work take a hot bubble bath, and get nekked. Just saying…it helps me release stress. Yes, it does:)

Tea, honey and if permitted a shot of whiskey. This is my grandmother’s cure for the common cold. I like to add a little lemon as well. In commonwealth countries you also have NeoCitron. It is a lemon tea with antihistamines. It tastes much better than any ones for sale in the lower 48.

Most importantly, get some rest now! It can get worse if you don’t take care of yourself.

Being sick and stressed out sucks! You have our permission to bury your head under the pillow. The book is fantastic all the reviews will be too. Hang in there.

I totally sympathize – I’m trying to cough up a spare lung, and totally lost my voice. I finally sounded/looked pitiful enough that Dr. dispensed antibiotics. Joy.

Hope you feel better soon too!
