Still working.

Over the weekend, Kid 2 went to a sleepover and while we were visiting, Gordon and I were introduced to the awesomeness that is Carole Samaha.

Thanks a lot for this recommendation. A gift for my dad which he most likely will enjoy. Although what he mostly is a real Oum Khatoum fan. I didn’t manage to quite hit his taste with Khaled, but maybe this lady… I think he likes the female singers best anyway.

    Airplane quote.

I like the videos you guys post on your blog. It was my first introduction to the Old Spice Guy (and his sequel video is also very funny) and now a new singer.

Thanks for the links. She’s awesome.

You might also like Natacha Atlas or possibly Tarkan. Although Tarkan can be a little pop oriented.

Tarkan is a very famous Turkish pop singer. Try his new songs from this year (not as good as the oldies, but still):

Songtitle: Sevdanin son vurusu (means, ‘the last beat of love’)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzbMbg_15Hg&feature=related

Although I like this one better, also new:
Songtitle: Adimi kalbine yaz (literally translated ‘write my name into your heart’)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5nJymELoFY

      And a few older songs:
      Tarkan – Hup
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmwXYckeWSE

His most famous song is ‘Kiss Kiss’ (original title ‘Simarik’, means Spoiled)

      Okey well, enough promo ..

    :O

There are several good Arabic songs (and Bollywood songs) I know about. (My sister is a fan, that’s why, and a part-time oriental dance teacher, so I’m kinda brainwashed.)

Try Nancy Ajram – Enta Eih (slow song)

    Amr Diab – Tamally Maak

Oh, by the way I really like this one:
Buddha bar IV (song name ‘I love you’)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1O9oJxl-r8

And something from the colorful Bollywood:
Veer Zara – Main Yahaan Hoon (slow song)

By the way. Sorry for a complete track list =)
