[...] 1. First off–the old faithful question–how did you get to be a dynamic duo with two separate series, best selling novels, and a horde of rabid fans? We started in college writing papers together and it went from there. we wrote the first Kate, who was called Vera, book while still in the Army. We shopped it, got nothing, got an agent, he sold it to an editor who then asked that we change everything. We did. Now we stay home and write and sometimes swim together in our awesome pool. The whole story of how we got published is on the blog:http://www.ilona-andrews.com/about/ [...]

HI! I am also an Army wife and just moved to Pooler! My husband is currently deployed until next week (November 25th hopefully). I just bought your Kate Daniels series to help the time pass faster. I too hated Lawton, OK. Thanks for writing!

I´m glad you didn´t quit. The Kate Daniels Series is one of the most original
I´ve ever read.

And by the way, Anita Blake (just my opinion, if there are any fans here
I´ll only say it once: I´m sorry, but it is true) was a great character in the first book, but later she started becoming... and finally became... a slut. (I know for sure, I read the series from 1 to 9, each time getting more and more
dissapointed. At present there are 19 books, not worth a buck)

In case it was forementioned (supposing the Vera Voron you mentioned is Kate Daniels), Anita and Kate are as similar as day and night. I´ll pick Kate over Anita every day of the week.

What I love most about Kate Daniels Series is that it is improving with each
book, in opposition to other series I´ve started reading to think later
"Why didn´t it finish before ("X author, Laurell K.Hamilton, for example") had
time to f*** it this way?"

I´ve tried reading The Edge Series because of you two, but I´m sticking to Kate.
Anyway, thanks for your stories and feedback (Loved the Curran Volume 1
Edition, I hope there´s more... and more... and more) Best Regards, Lizzy.
