It will take a little longer for Amazon to realize that audio editions are there, but it should eventually figure it out.
Happy Valentine’s day! OFS Audio is up.
Ta-da! Much thanks to Renee Raudmann for another outstanding performance.
Gordon and I aren’t doing much for Valentine Day. To me, it’s a little like Mother’s Day, otherwise known to some people as the only day they are nice to their mother. If today is the only day he would buy me flowers, we’d have to rethink our relationship. I like flowers. When I was a little girl, my family turned every inch of our small yard into a garden. We had roses, tulips, peonies, chrysanthemums, dahlias… Now I successfully grow cactus in our back yard. 🙁 Actually, I think the extra rain we got might have killed our aloe. Grrr, Texas. But back to the topic at hand, it’s a crappy, rainy day. I know we are supposed to go out for valentine Dinner, because that’s what you do, but unless it clears up, I’m not sure I can muster enough willpower to go out.
What are your plans for the Valentine’s Day?
The stunningly beautiful Innkeeper Vol 1 collector edition is available for the preorder.
No new material, on account of me not being able to write at the moment, so if you already own all three books, you are not missing anything. 🙂
If your child would like a copy of OFS, because they’ve been reading it online, but you don’t want the slightly more graphic content, I’ve just rolled an epub and a mobi file for the PG 13 version at the request of the parents. (Basically it’s missing the sex, which was low heat anyway, since this is more suited to the nature of the series.) If you email me with proof of purchase of the official book on Amazon or BN or other retailer, I will send you the complimentary PG 13 version.
Please direct your emails to
firstname.lastname@example.org ilona.andrews @gmail.com (let’s try this) and please put PG13 OFS in the subject or I will miss it.
Print edition is now up on Amazon and Create Space. It should filter out to other retailers soon.
Dina DeMille may run the nicest Bed and Breakfast in Red Deer, Texas, but she caters to very particular kind of guest… the kind that no one on Earth is supposed to know about. Guests like a former intergalactic tyrant with an impressive bounty on her head, the Lord Marshal of a powerful vampire clan, and a displaced-and-superhot werewolf; so don’t stand too close, or you may be collateral damage.
But what passes for Dina’s normal life is about to be thrown into chaos. First, she must rescue her long-distant older sister, Maud, who’s been exiled with her family to a planet that functions as the most lawless penal colony since Botany Bay. Then she agrees to help a guest whose last chance at saving his civilization could bring death and disaster to all Dina holds dear. Now Gertrude Hunt is under siege by a clan of assassins. To keep her guests safe and to find her missing parents, Dina will risk everything, even if she has and may have to pay the ultimate price. Though Sean may have something to say about that.
Of course, there are always issues. The print edition isn’t up currently but should be up today. They, um, misspelled our penname on the cover. 😛 So it had to be corrected. But hopefully it will be up today.
For some odd reason, iBooks has the date as 21. I don’t know why. This is just one of those mysterious things that occasionally happen and nobody is sure how. So our deepest apologies.
Now that the official part is out of the way, it’s a book birthday! Yay!
Starting a new series is always risky. I think Karen Marie Moning put it best, when she wrote, and I am paraphrasing, that you lose sales, money, and ranking. A new series is always a gamble.
Contrary to all my gloomy expectations, you guys made Burn For Me an awesome success. :) Thank you! Thank you so much for giving this new series a try.
Right now, we are planning for it to be a trilogy and we will begin working on the second, as yet untitled book, as soon as we finish Magic Shifts.
