I am ordering promotional items and swag for our release party at Nola Storycon. I’m trying to get some idea of how many people will be coming by. If you are planning to attend, please check in. Thank you so much!
"buy my book"
Before we get started, it is the same model as Magic Shifts. I asked.
Remember that a) we have no control over the covers and b) no personal attacks on the model’s looks will be tolerated. Sometimes things get heated and people forget that she is a actual person and not a drawing.
That said, I’m satisfied with it. It’s pretty and even though I didn’t get all of the things I wanted, I did get the scar on Kate’s face. 🙂
Pleased to say that Sweep in Peace is now listed on Audible for pre-order. The on-sale date is December 15th. It’ll be listed on iTunes/Amazon soon.
So many questions…
Ebook: Hoping for Christmas. It will go into upload this upcoming week, but apparently there is some sort of delay because of holidays. It’s basically done. Literally just needs a quick proofreading and we have to make some choices in that snippet I posted in regard to when his name is revealed.
Print: Now that we are aware that quite a few people want it in print, we will make sure that there is a print version, but I don’t know if we can do it by Christmas. It will be a very slender print volume.
Audio: Sure, we can do an audio book, but this will have to be an indie project. This one will definitely not come out by Christmas. We’ll have to select a male reader. If you listen to a lot of audiobooks, especially independent releases, and know someone who might sound like Derek, please let us know. We can’t get any celebrity readers for this, because cost would likely be prohibitive and we simply don’t have the clout, so please don’t suggest people like Christopher Lambert. 😀
Derek is a fan favorite, and the readers have been asking for this novella for a long time, so it will be available at $1.99.
Derek Gaunt has few friends, so when a family he knows is murdered, he will do anything to bring their killer to justice.
This sounds like a bad cop movie.
I asked Gordon for help. Brace yourselves.
::makes movie voice:: Derek Gaunt is a loose canon detective who doesn’t play by the rules, but his department forces him to take on a new partner. Can a lone wolf work with wisecraking rookie when life of civilians is on the line? Together they fight crime in the dark-drenched streets of magical Atlanta…
Hehe. It’s too early in the morning.
Derek Gaunt has no family and few friends. Scarred, solitary, he is the lone wolf who separated from his pack. When those close to him are murdered, he’ll stop at nothing to hunt their killer through the magic-drenched Atlanta. Soon Julie Olsen joins him and what begins as revenge turns into the race to save the city. Their search puts them against powers they never imagined and magic so old, it predates history. It may cost Derek his life, but there are things for which even he would risk everything.
\0/ Only took half an hour. ::eye roll:: Need more coffee.
I will start on rolling out the files when I finish this post. If you are a blogger and would like an ARC, please email me or Susan at ilonaandrews.assistant at gmail.
Can you please put all your novellas together and release a print edition?
Guys, we do not own the rights to most of our novellas. In fact, we don’t own the rights to any of the novellas, except this one. We own our short stories, but Ace owns everything else related to KD. Tweet at Anne Sowards and tell her you want a print edition. 🙂
