I live in UK or Australia: STOP! Read the FAQ. Seriously. We DO NOT have any additional information at this time.
As of March 2011, Magic series will consist of 7 main books, featuring Kate and Curran, 2 full length spin-off novels, probably featuring Andrea and Raphael and Jim and Dali, and several novellas. For more information on the series, please click here. content
Sadly, we’re orphaned in UK. I pretty much suspected so – our UK editor had left the publishing house – and I had asked our agent about it, who is looking for alternative venue. Today, thanks to Susan, we have a semi-official confirmation.
Thank you for your email and I am sorry for the slow reply. I have been speaking with our editorial team here and unfortunately we have not acquired these rights, and it doesn’t appear that we will be doing so in the near future. It is likely that the US publisher will be distributing their own edition in the UK and Australia.
UK Publisher Rights and Digital Executive
This affects Australian rights as well, I believe.
I’ve been asked before, “Why don’t you just self-publish?” It may come to that. If we do self-publish, we would have to resign ourselves to kissing any UK print deal for the series good-bye. It’s not the question of money. (I think we only got $5,000 per book.) It’s the question of availability. The US imports can be purchased in UK and Australia, but they are a pain to find. Having a print deal would make the books more widely available to people who still prefer to read in paper.
One way or the other, we will figure this out. We should know more in September, so you will know when we know.

If you are in UK, and you are asking about availability of e-version of MAGIC BLEEDS/SLAYS, please read the answer to the question above. If you are in Canada and emailing about Amazon, nobody quite knows what’s going on there. Amazon and Canadian publishers are in some sort of dispute, but everyone thinks it will be resolved shortly. [toggle_content title="Will you donate to my charity?"] Probably not. We donate to a number of charities monthly and we receive a lot of requests of this nature. While we applaud your cause and support you in your charitable endeavors, we will not contribute financially to your cause.[/toggle_content]
[toggle_content title="Will you come on my blog to do an interview/guest blog post/giveaway?"] Our deadlines are very tight this year and we have to limit the number of guest blogs we do. We’ll be happy to hear from you, but please don’t be upset if the answer is no.[/toggle_content]
