I’ve been on a Jayne Ann Krentz/Jayne Castle kick. So far I’ve read Amaryllis, Zinnia, Absolutely Positively, Grand Passion, and working on Hidden Talents, although I don’t like that one quite as much. I can’t get over how groundbreaking St. Helen’s series is. Amaryllis was originally published in 1996. PNR trend hadn’t even started and although this is technically a SF romance, it reads like a really good PNR. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nalini Singh was inspired by this.
I really like her contemporaries, too, and this my first serious foray into contemporary romance. I’ve tried some before and couldn’t get into them, but apparently, I am a Jayne fan. 🙂 She has an enormous back list, so I am a bit lost as to what to try next, but I think I might read After Dark.
Let’s see, there was something I was supposed to post.
Oh, another reminder: the library event in Austin is this Friday at 6:45 pm. More information here. We will be there closer to 5:00 pm, in case some of you want stuff signed and don’t get the tickets. We’re missing the Illusionists for this, so I hope someone shows, hehe. 🙂
I’ve been crocheting up a storm and watching The Great British Bake Off on Amazon. I love GBBO. It is the best thing ever. Ever. But we only get 3 seasons in US. That is seriously not cool. Is there any way to watch the earlier seasons?
