Good morning, good morning, IA readers! Happy Tuesday! I appreciate the patience of the many who have emailed Ilona and Gordon while they have been furiously working to get Magic Binds ready for release in late summer. I have tried to answer most of the questions along the way. We are finally catching up on the ones that needed Authorlord input.
One question I have received over and over is about a bit of dialogue dropped from Sweep in Peace when it was released. Back in January Ilona shared that the line “Don’t die, small human!” would be added back to the electronic download and everyone would be able to update. Little did we know how involved an update to an e-book could be!
Ilona looped in the amazing Natanya Wheeler to help us solve the mystery of updating e-books.
Amazon – They really do handle this through their customer support, so they want us to refer your readers to this: https://kdp.amazon.com/help?topicId=A1RGGPBKDR1BPZ
Nook – To receive the updated NOOK Book file at no additional charge, the customer can re-download the NOOK Book by using the Archive/Un-Archive feature.
On a NOOK device, this is done in the Library by pressing and holding your finger on the cover image until a menu pops up, and then selecting “Archive”. In the upper right corner click “My Stuff” > “Archived”, and then press and hold your finger again on the cover image and select “Unarchive.”
If there is any trouble, the customer can follow the link below for the web-based customer support system:https://help.barnesandnoble.com You can also call the Customer Service Center at 1-800-THE-BOOK (1-800-843-2665).
iBooks – Readers just need to delete and redownload.
