In a few days I’ll be turning forty. If I’m lucky, I’m at about 1/2 mark. That makes you look back a little bit. At forty, I have two daughters. One is an adult, the other will be this year. I’m happily married. I’ve made and kept several friends. I’ve co-authored 16 full length books, 17 if we count Clean Sweep as full length, and several novellas and short stories. I’ve seen a lot of landmark cities in US, so many that I no longer want to travel, unless it’s for fun. I still want snow for Christmas; instead I get AC, thanks Texas. I might just give up the fight and move to Florida in a couple of years.
I dropped out of college twice. I’ve been poor, I’ve been okay. I’m still overweight. I still stress out over a bunch of stupid crap, although I’m happy to report that since I gave in to my inner bitchiness and returned to angry ranting, I feel significantly better.
I don’t know. What the yardstick here?
Anyway, I’m taking the rest of the week off. I hope you have a lovely time. Happy Holidays! See you after New Year.
