http://www.gimp.org/Is freeee! The oddshots image of the girl was done in gimp. The original was yellow without a tatoo and with champagne in the glass. gimp is pretty good for a free software, I use it too sometimes. but for work that needs a 'finer' touch I usually rely on photoshop CS 3. I'm pretty familiar with it, since I need it for work, too. Especially for things that should have print quality, gimp is not the ideal solution... but for pics that are used online gimp is awesome... and easy to understand, too. The thing is, since I have to do a lot of picture editing and stuff for work, it kind of lost its appeal as hobby to me  funny that. |

Hello everyone, I haven't been on this forum in MONTHS- got lost for a while. I once asked if I could post a little fan art but then lost the sketch.
I've since found it after a major cross country move. So here it is... my first attempt at fan art.
I am actually a some time illustrator and full time artist. My work doesn't tend to be realistic... but I really wanted to try this out.
I chose the scene of Kate stepping into the darkness to meet Curran for the first time.
let me know what you think...

It sure is an impressive scene. I've been trying to wrap my head around Currans beast form again and again. Blue, that's almost what my mind came up with in the end I love it! As for programs, I've used both Gimp and Photoshop CS2. They're amazing, especially if you know what you are doing. Which I don't *cough*. Should probably try to teach myself some more. |
