The oddshots image of the girl was done in gimp. The original was yellow without a tatoo and with champagne in the glass.
gimp is pretty good for a free software, I use it too sometimes.
but for work that needs a 'finer' touch I usually rely on photoshop CS 3. I'm pretty familiar with it, since I need it for work, too. Especially for things that should have print quality, gimp is not the ideal solution... but for pics that are used online gimp is awesome... and easy to understand, too.
The thing is, since I have to do a lot of picture editing and stuff for work, it kind of lost its appeal as hobby to me
