Not yet, but I will purchase any book I find from McKillip.  I usually shop at used bookstores to actually be able to afford this book habit and her name is on my permanent author "buy list".  I love her books.  She has this magic way of writing.  A story happens and I end up happy and satisfied at the end.  Her prose is magical, haunting and lovely.  It is quiet, and can be humble, but grows to encompass you as you are sucked further into her world.  I don't know how else to describe it...am I crazy?

You might try PaperbackSwap.com - it's great for picking up hard to find books, that are not in the local used store.  The automated wish lists that look for you - it's my friend.

If you love McKillip, you have to read the Riddle Master - it has three books in one:

Riddle Master of Hed
Heir of Sea and Fire
Harpest in the Wind

It's my favorite of all her books!  Must read!   LIONbook

@ Blue--Thanks for the website.  I hadn't seen that one before.
"What kind of shapeshifter has orange fur anyway?"
"Weredingo."
Now I'd seen everything. Well, at least he didn't steal my baby.

Patricia McKillip has the most beautiful prose style and her imagery is so vivid and striking that I still remember some of her descriptions decades after reading. I wish I could feel the same way about her plots though, they often seem quite dreamlike and insubstantial to me. Still one of my favourites.

That's a pretty good analysis of her style. She is a fabulous writer but there is less going on in the book than in the reader's mind, in some ways.

I love the Riddlemaster of Head series - it was just recently released in e-format, so now I have both paper and e-format.
