I'm hoping Jesse will sneak across the border for a visit  ;) It sounded pretty final with Chance at the end of Hell Fire. Besides, would you want his "luck" to back fire on you? I sure wouldn't.

Nooo, was not final. :( Chance and Corine have history, and there's mysteries with him to be resolved.  Jesse is icky and has cooties. :P
LOL
I think Chance will def reappear and its not the end of them I think - but I do think he needed to learn that he was taking advantage of his ability with Corine. Its not an equal relationship in that sense and I hope they do find a way so that they can be together. But I also do think Jesse needs a chance too - I think Chance is such a great character he tends to overshadow Jesse. I think in the next book we will get to see to more and explore Jesse's character and to give him more of a chance.

Me no likey Jesse. *pouts*
The fact he can tell exactly how you're feeling all the time irks me to no end. Yiiikes, privacy much? Also, he feels too perfect most of the time. :P

I was just talking on the Hurog board about how rarely I get all irrationally "shipper" on book characters, but I am totally Team Chance.
I actually stopped reading Hell Fire part of the way through because I could tell which way the wind was blowing. I'm trying to talk myself down now so I can read it like a rational human. :D
I don't want to write the great American Novel. I want to write the great American beach read. It pays better. (Also, I would actually READ it.)

You could start with her Grimspace series first and then move on to her Corine Solomon series if you like the way she writes. :) I like both her series, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd go for the Grimspace series. ;)

To be honest, I don't think either series is quite good enough to blow your budget over.  Well, Grimspace might be by itself, that's a five star read.  But the rest of the series, while good, doesn't set off any fireworks or shake the earth.  I'd put them on your list and buy them in August.

ive just finished blue diablue and really enjoyed it the only problem I had with the book was when it switched to spanish i know a lot of american learn spanish especally those that live in states close the mexico but as a australian i had no idea what was being said so it kind of runied the flow of the book. However Im interested to know what happens next. Also enjoed the fact that cornie was not tall and thin like all the other heriones.

 Tonight I start grimspace.

Could not agree with this more.  Grimspace was amazing - the rest meh.....I will still continue to read them, but they have a hard act to follow.
