Baths & Dogs

Hi everybody! It’s Kid 2. So I really wanted to make a blog post because I feel like it. I made Mom make me a special account and what not.

 Today I got paid to wash the dogs! I usually get 5 dollars for Angus and 10 dollars for Deliah, I don’t get any money for washing Sofie because she’s my responsibility and blah blah blah you get what I’m saying.

I just woke up, since it’s summer my schedule is all messed up, so I didn’t want a big hassle. I washed Sofie first because she’s no problem. All she does is try to hide behind things, like the shower curtain.

Then I decided to wash Angus. Usually I wash him outside with the hose but Dad said it would be easier to wash him in the tub. So he carried Angus into the tub and I pulled the shower head hose out so I could rinse him.

 I covered him in dog shampoo and then tried to rinse him.

As soon as water touched him he jumped out, still covered in soap, slipped and ran into the door. I spent 15 minutes trying different strategies to get him back in the tub.

Finally, I decided to try to grab him and carry him into the shower instead. Angus weighs 60 lbs so I was hesitant.

I grabbed him and then immediately slipped and fell flat on my face. After I rinsed him I dried him and let him out of the bathroom. He then tumbled down the stairs from excitement.

Deliah was easy to wash!  All I had to do is chase her into the shower and she just stood still. Now I have a weird mark on my face from falling down, and I think Angus might have some brain damage. Just saying.

A little bit earlier I also let Sofie play with the dog across the street, Remy. They like to chase each other around in the yard. Dad had to hold onto Angus because he’s so heavy he scares the poor thing. Not to mention Angus is gross even after I wash him.
