Oh if only. If only. Sadly no movie studios are calling, and no movie is in the works, but here is a wishful thinking fanmade trailer for Magic Bites. I died and then died some more. Outstanding job, no? Thank you to Kaprycia for the link.

Portman isn’t exotic enough. The big thing is the violence level would get these films a definite R rating. And if you do sell the film rights hopefully it won’t be to one of the big Hollywood studios. Del Toro has optioned Robin Mckinley’s Beauty and the Beast to adapt but now he has been quoted as saying he is change the story to something different. Mckinley has said in her blog she hopes the story will be unrecognizable from the original. It is a said waste of an original work if true. Hollywood seems to be the worst at adaptations. The recent film Jumper would surprise many viewers if they read Steven Gould’s novel and the same for the film Logan’s Run. It was an improvement In Logan’s case in my opinion. You need someone who loves the books and is willing to fight against studio “alterations” or be outside the studio system. Very difficult to find in terms of the money. CG werelions don’t come cheap. Golden Compass almost bankrupted New Line Films with the costs.
This is so fun! I know it’s not a real thing…YET, but I love it! Liam Hemsworth would be awesome. Swoon!
