Kate and Erra

kate-and-erra

While on our cleaning spree, Gordon and I found art sent to us a few months ago.  I had meant to scan it back then, but instead I put it into a box with children’s pictures to be framed and never got to it.  So here it is.  The scanner doesn’t do it justice.  Take it from me  – it’s gorgeous. Click on the Image to view the larger version.

We’re putting it on the wall in the living room.   One small thing – there is no artist signature…?

Just beautiful. I thought I saw this on the fan art discussion in the forum. Did Kalimera do it? (If so, I bet someone who is on more often than I am will pop in with the answer) :) Just perfectly captures that one calm moment Erra and Kate have before the storm. Love the crocodile, squirrels and raven, too. So many neat touches.

Whoever did that is the awesome sauce! I wish i had a fraction of that talent. Its also done in such a way that you could do a really awesome stained glass quilt out of it…

That is lovely. I like the animal shapes surrounding them. Very symbolic. And I suddenly would like some tea.

This is from Ana on the forum. It is really pretty. She’s done some other great stuff in the fan art thread. Like the scene with the chair or Jim and the clipboard at the Games. It’s really cool to see what she comes up with.

Oh my gosh that gorgeous. I truly wish I could draw/paint/like this.

Of course I also feel the same way about singing/playing music/creative stuff.

Awww I suppose someone needs to be the consumer!

Don’t mind me I’ll be over in the corner compiling a shopping list.

I think the signature is above the third blue bubble on the bottom from the right side.(It’s kinda tiny even with the bigger view, so I may be wrong.)

    It’s very lovely!

Awesome! When I see stuff like this it makes me want to draw, too bad what I draw goes into the trash before someone can catch a peek at my… mess. What’s really amazing is that this Kate looks like how I’ve always pictured her and I love how Erra and Kate look so much alike yet the nose and lips and other things are different but they still look like look-alike sisters.

Amazing! The two women look almost exactly alike. The artist with just a few minor changes makes one older and one younger. Beautiful and amazing.

Very beautiful drawing. May I have permission to save it to my computer. I like a lot of different types of artwork and that is quite easily one of the best I’ve seen.
