Normally Sookie the Bulldog is an obedient creature. A little mischievous, very sly, but obedient. She sits when you tell her to sit, she goes outside or to her pillow when you tell her to go, and if you offer her a treat, she will open her mouth and wait for the treat to fall into it. Unfortunately the temperatures in Austin have been consistently hitting past 100F (37.7 C) this past week. They are projecting average high of 95F for the next week and we are all terribly excited. It’s almost a cold front. 🙂
Sookie has trouble with heat. Where the doberman and the chihuahua mix will deliberately go out and lay in the sun while we are outside, seeking shade only when they are thoroughly warmed up, Sookie does not like the sun. Because of her snort snout, she has hard time cooling herself, which unfortunately makes the bulldogs susceptible to heat stroke. Recently she adopted a new tactic, which I recorded for your amusement. Keep in mind that 10 seconds prior to this video, Sookie was bouncing around the house and playing.
Bulldogs crack me up.
