How about “Swept by Blood” (blood, like family- she’s my blood) for a name?

I cannot wait for the rest!

Will there be Rogan POV part 2? Thanks.
January 5, 2018 at 12:01 pm
Love the artwork.
January 5, 2018 at 12:37 pm
Heh, I know there was a flurry of title suggestions, but I had one just come to me “Jump the Broom.” Because as I recall, that is an old marriage tradition. It’s not a “sweep” or “swept” title, but still had the broom theme.

Ooooo I like this!

Thank you and happy belated birthday. I am going to be moving to a new state and a new house around Chinese New Year (February) and already dreading the whole moving-during-a-major-holiday headache especially after reading about your experience 😂

Oh my gods I want more!

Awesome. Can’t wait to read more. Love Maud, Arland and little Helen. Thank you!
January 5, 2018 at 6:35 pm
You always bring so much light to my life. Even if there is no money for anyone, the written word can bring joy and warmth. I am yet to read something of yours that doesnt fill me with the warm and tinglys! Thank you so much!
Side note : I wonder if its too much to hope that Arlands mother understands Maud and accepts her.

If not Maud alone, one look at Helen will win Arland’s mother over!!!
January 5, 2018 at 7:08 pm
My favourite couple in any of the authorlords’ books: Arland & Helen.
January 5, 2018 at 10:14 pm
so great – can’t wait to see if big scary Ma is waiting on the other side of the gate and being swept away by the unexpected grandchild she is handed – or that pukes all over her for the welcome 🙂
January 6, 2018 at 2:36 am
Ooohhh Arlands in trouble. Hopefully Helen doesn’t become sick over her potential new nanna and interesting potential political double dealings. Can’t wait for next Friday/Saturday 🙂

Wow, I love it so far and can’t wait for more! When it’s done, I definitely will buy it. So good. I love Arland with Helen and how Maud is so good at dealing with Lord Soren. I can’t wait for Maud to meet Arland’s mother! 🙂

Now Maud stuck her foot in it… but it is Maud and she’ll come out swinging if she has to… Arland and Helen may blindside her…
January 7, 2018 at 8:01 am
Have you considered “Star Swept” as a title?
I’m loving the whole Helen and Arland vibe. Maude doesn’t stand a chance, scary M-I-L or not.
January 7, 2018 at 8:14 am
Where and when can i get this book? I won’t read anything in little peaces. It’s too much like watching a soap opera. Yuck! I like the Innkeeper series best of all and I’m about to read the three again as one big book. Can’t wait to get this novella in my hands! Thanks.
January 7, 2018 at 8:51 am
Id call it “sweep the sword” i think there’s a jodo maneuver do Barai uchi that roughly translates to that based On Using A Opponets Force Agaisnt Them And Ps Really Love THe Excerpts Appricated 😁

“Maud, To Be Determined” is growing on me as a title. It can be taken in so many ways. The woman certainly is determined, she has lots of issues whose outcomes need to be determined, and there is a whole early 18th century multiple volume novel feel about it.
January 7, 2018 at 10:39 am
Damme, these pain killers are good!
January 7, 2018 at 11:45 pm
Eeeee, I’m so excited to see how it plans out. I love how Arland and Helen are together.
January 8, 2018 at 3:02 am
I just re-read Chapter 1, Part 2. It is even better the second time around – how is that even possible?
Karen the Griffmom’s comments about “Maud, To Be Determined” growing on her as a title sounded good. Margaret’s “Star Swept” is, too.
Jonathan’s “Sweep the Sword” with his explanation sounds good, too. Aren’t I helpful? Luckily, I’m not an authorlord.
“Sweepstake” They are taking big chances for possibly huge “jackpots.”
“Swept Away” Arland certainly is, while Maud has been swept, but is hanging on by her fingertips. Perhaps the
wedding factions will be swept away as well.
“Sweep and Parry” With what appear to be Trojan Horse wedding issues looming, not to mention the interactions
between Maud, Arlan, Helen, Lord Soren and Lady llemina that will be ongoing…
Whatever the title, the story is clearing going to be another winner!

Thank-you so much for giving us this each week, in midst of all that’s going on in your lives.

Swept Away. Swept her feet.
When will the novella be released? I can’t wait!
January 9, 2018 at 5:32 pm
Amazing! You pack so much world building and character insights into these bite sized pieces…I can’t wait for Saturday’s now (13 hours ahead)! Still 4 days away…..( Sigh).
January 10, 2018 at 3:12 pm
Thanks for the new story in the Innkeeper’s Universe!
It is a joy for me, of some sort. I lost my husbanf a few months ago, can’t seem to talk about it. People complain about my behaviour, I’m not a widowy enough widow, I’m not likable and nice to everybody. But I’m 37 and a mother of 2, how can I be a crying widow????
It is inappropriate here I know, I’m sorry. But I read you for so many years…. and I can’t talk most of the time. Your blog is a what makes me breath. Well, I’ll be honest, one of my breathing time.
Just wanted to make clear how important this is to me. Probably a bit clumsy. I’m sorry about my own complaining, I’m quite out of my mind right now.
But thank you, really.
January 10, 2018 at 3:25 pm
So sorry to hear you have had to endure that. Grief and sanity come in so many different manifestations. Stay strong! (Strong like Maud! Well, like yourself. The point here is: thank you for the unfolding story, authorlords!)
January 10, 2018 at 7:17 pm
It’s your grief, Zee. Not theirs. Yours. You have to live through it day by day, so if you want to talk about it, here is a good place. But you don’t owe anyone your grief, your time, or any anxiety because someone else disapproves of the way you keeping things together. They are not living your life; you are.

January 11, 2018 at 6:05 am
Firstly, to Zee: hugs from a random stranger. Because you really can’t ever have enough hugs. Applause to Ilona, I agree. And my two cents’ worth: you have so much time to be cheerful and friendly in the future, if that’s what you want to be. But now is your time. Don’t apologise for it; a few months is the blink of an eye when it comes to grief. It will get easier, but you’re not there yet, and if literary escapism what you need to get through today, go for it. May I also suggest writing your thoughts out in a Word doc, or even a journal? If you don’t want to talk to anyone about it, it can be helpful to just write it out, even if you never show anyone. More hugs. Big hugs. Breathe.
To the author lords, thank you for this! I’m so ridiculously excited. Also, I can’t believe you’ve produced this AND finished Kate 10 in the same time period. AND moved house. You don’t have clones, do you? Fist-bumps to the author lords.

Finally hit me: Swept Away!
Thank you, as always, for sharing your stories with us BDH members.
January 11, 2018 at 3:36 pm
Man, I came here again *just* to make the same suggestion! It still has a variant of “sweep” in the title, which is appropriate since it’s (more?) about Maud than Dina. Plus, she’s literally away from Earth and figuratively swept away romantically by Arland. I think it’s perfect 🙂
January 11, 2018 at 3:49 pm
🙂 we’re not the only ones. I see @Miriam and @Amy had the same thought as well. We must be on to something! It fits and gives Maud her own version of the Innkeeper (Swept rather than Sweep) while still keeping it in context, and it fits the storyline of being swept away to her own adventures away from Dina. Next we can beg for Klaus’s story, and find a way to keep him in sync … maybe Sweeping with the Enemy, etc. lol
