This is the right thread for the blog. There is also a comment thread on the Innkeeper page — clicking on “Continue reading” will take you there. 🙂

Seconded. Although, just what the doctor ordered otherwise.

It always seems like it’s so short no matter how long the chapter is. I’m looking forward to the next installment. Any chance this will be a really really long novella? 😁

Thank you! I am sure Maud will be able to hold her own.

I like that Maud is self-reliant, intelligent, and educated in the ways of vampires. To be consistent with the characters, Arland should take Maud’s information seriously, not dismissively as some alpha males do in other, less well-developed series. I’m a huge fan of the Innkeeper stories. I didn’t want to leave Dina and Sean behind (along with the Countess), but really enjoy Arland, Maud, and Helen.

You love us! You really, really love us! (Who’s old enough to remember the reference?)

I am! Definitely. I’ll give the young ‘uns a hint: who remembers the Flying Nun?

What a fun birthday surprise! Friday the 12th was my birthday, and I had to put in 12 hours at work, came home exhausted, and found – Maud! Yea! I am sorry I didn’t post earlier, but it’s been 12-hour days Saturday and Sunday, too. I just couldn’t wait any longer. Thank you for giving me such a lift at the end of an otherwise very ordinary and humdrum birthday!

Thank you for starting another Innkeeper! I love this series. I have been waiting since Claude deMille recruited George to the Arbitrators for Dina to hand his ass to him for not contacting her. I wonder if it will happen in this one. I’m staying tuned 🙂 But if it doesn’t happen in this one, it will give me hope- because that means that there will be another book!

No!!!!! I can’t stand the thought that Arland is going to be betrayed! I hope it isn’t his house. And I hope Maud blows the conspiracy wide open and is instrumental in handing them their asses.

I can’t wait for this Friday’s installment! Only 3 more days to go…I love reading installment novels with the BDH …
Yes, Maud handing them their asses and proving to the rest of House Krahr that she’s a fine match for Arland, and House Krahr would be stupid to let her get away! And Helen too. Helen’s no slouch when it comes to tactics…oh, and I do hope maybe Helen and Arland’s extremely cute cousin can meet 🙂 The cuteness alone would be epic and the potential mayhem the two could inflict!
