I’ve spent the morning pressing “refresh” on your site and thinking up titles for the next book (waaaay ahead of myself on that front, I know); such is the appetite you’ve created for this fantastic series. Is it too kitschy to think the name of the series, should they ever be included in one box set, could be Short and Sweep?
Since you started sharing this series in 2014 it has rapidly become one of my favorite reads. Thank you for all the chapters you’ve shared over the weeks this year; the regularly renewed anticipation was, in part, its own present. .
I hope your family can take a long overdue break soon, sending you both my best.

Thank you so much!!! What an amazing story.

I was wrong, this is great. It’s my own fault for forgetting all the pressure and exhaustion Dina was dealing with, Mrak killing an apple tree could have had the same effect of overwhelming her. The story was beautiful, the first was great, the second even better and this one even more better. Looking forward to Sebastien North and the continual Dina adventures!!!!!

Being in a different time zone sucks. But this was a perfect end to the book! Loved it!

That is one advantage to them moving to Florida — they’ll be in the same time zone as me.
Of course, there are probably other advantages for them, but we all know this is about me. 😛
Thank you says

This epilogue is so bitersweet. It was a pleasure to read, as usual, but you left so many lose threads it is hard to swallow:
– I knew the Sebastien North mistery will need to be explained in another book,
– but I would have loved to gain more insight on The corruption incident.
Anyways, I’ll suck the frustration up and I’ll enjoy the story as it is. Thanks for the journey and I wish you all a Great break for rest and relaxation ☺

AGH! Loved the twist – Draziri killing their own “Gods”. But the epilogue felt abrupt. I think that is just me, not wanting the story to end. Yesterday I reread the whole book; I had forgotten just how much happened, and how many new characters we met. So much love.

Dear Authorlords thank you for this wonderful story!! Cannot wait for the next one though… until then we are content with reading the whole story together..

Wow, I can’t believe that people are complaining about the epilogue (especially emailing the author to complain). This was a free book people! The Authorlords know what they are doing, as they have proven again and again. What was in the story was what they wanted to have in there.
I know you may not publish this as being too negative, but I just wanted to say it.
Thank you for the wonderful gift of this story.

I think the chapters are fine the way they are. Please ignore the folks who are asking for more explicit sex scenes with what and how you and Gordon write, it’s really not needed. I always, always enjoy the writing and blogs.👍👍👍. I would contend that the majority of your readers feel this way.

Seriously. Who does that? The writing is excellent with sex or without. I will heroically refrain from offering suggestions to those who require exploit sex scenes for literary satisfaction.
Explicit. Autocorrect FAIL!

People are complaining about a fantastic free story? Seriously?
The story was fabulous. The ending was fabulous. I can wait to buy it.

I like that you didn’t put a long sex scene in the book. Sex is always the same- the action, banter and characters are much more interesting.
October 31, 2016 at 4:13 am
Exactly! I tend to skip over explicit sex scenes in books, not because I am a prude, but because they are usually not needed. A little light foreplay and then…… fade to next morning. Otherwise they just become repetitious and boring.
