OMG, the Home Depot saga continues. I have no energy to talk about it, but we scraped enough brain power together to bring you a new installment of Innkeeper: Clean Sweep. Today so sucked. Ugh.

I am so sorry you are going through this.
Home Depot installations are a nightmare. I happily pay twice and sometimes three times as much to know that I will NEVER have to deal with Home Depot subcontractors and extended warranties. I am pretty sure that this has extended my life by several years, although in NO WAY resolving the bitterness I feel over those two purchases.
Yay! Sorry your day sucked, but yay new innkeeper!
Ditto & good luck to resolve soon and to your satisfaction!
Hey Ilona and Gordan Andrews, will there be any movie or tv series for the Kate Daniels series?? And I tried to post comment on the Kate Daniels snippets earlier but their wasn’t any options. I had to search so long to be able to get here. Is there any easier way to post comments on your snippets.
No, there is no plan for TV or movie series.

New Innkeeper and work off! We had an ice storm today. As soon as the weather predicts ice I call in people in NC don’t know how to drive in weather like this.
That was a great section! One of my favorites so far. The cliffhanger was also extremely well done. I can’t wait for the next one!
3 weeks into a kitchen remodel the only thing that has gone in without a problem is the floor. We still have no water in the kitchen, one of the cabinets has to be replaced (resulting in a delay in completion of 2-3 weeks and putting off the backsplash, drywall work, etc.), and the countertops which are gorgeous do not fit correctly in the largest area of counter. The plumber spent most of the day trying to hook up the dishwasher and new sink, but finally gave up when he realized that because the new sink deeper, he needs a lower hole in the wall & cabinet to make the pipes work AND the electrician did not leave him a hook-up for the garbage disposal. I want a kitchen! I want to make a meal that does not involve repeated trips up and down stairs, cooking on a wood stove, having most of the kitchen supplies in piles of boxes, and doing all dishes by hand. It is easier to cook at camp for a month than this situation is! And no Home Depot issues contributed to this rant. Thank you for allowing me to vent.
Wow. When my hubby and I were newly married, we re-did our kitchen. Originally, we were told it would take about 2 weeks. This turned into 2 months. Meanwhile, our kitchen sink was in the garage. Later, when comparing notes with neighbors that also re-did their kitchen, (and who had 2 kids), I realized how easy we had it. At the time, we were both professionals and had no children, so we either ate out or microwaved our dinner on paper plates. My neigbor told us that she washed dishes in the bathtub. Ick. Not because it is unsanitary, but because it makes my back hurt just thinking about it.
I wish you well.
So sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with Home Depot. Fixing up a house is stressful enough withough adding this headache.
Ug. I once went to Home Depot looking for a specific kind of nail. Nothing unique, just a nail. The floorworker said they didn’t have that kind of nail, and referred me to a hardware store. This is Home Depot for you.
Thank you for the new installment! I hope doin this kind of project lightens up your day.

Thank you for thinking of us on this sucky day….
Thank you- what a great start to the weekend. Good luck with the dishwasher and floor.
I love the new Inkeeper and sympathize with the suck from Home Depot. If I send candy or the heads of Home Depot executives can I get another Inkeeper installment before Friday?
I stay away from Homedepot. I love the story, but feel bad you had to go through all that, especially at Christmas!!
Loved the Innkeeper segment, but I’m sorry to hear that Home Depot is still giving grief.
Keep hammering them on-line.
We learned about Home Depot the hard way as well. Good luck!
INN KEEPER IS WONDERFUL!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Thanks so much for the new Innkeeper! Hope everything gets better soon…

Thank you for the new installment
And here’s hoping the Home Depot people suffer from a month of indigestion!!!!
I spent last night reading the entire Clean Sweep up to date! finally! I LUV it!!!!!! LUV.
you could have a donate button of $0.25 per new segment: Innkeeper for a new floor!
I’d love to help out with the hateful Home Depot mass while claim takes it snail time.
Sorry about HD but yay for Innkeeper!
So sorry to hear about Home Depot; if they really cared about their customers, they would fix this regardless of the warranty wording. Unfortunately, they probably won’t given the number of other dissatisfied customers who have posted here. Such a shame really, because at this point they’ve lost more customers because it’s not like you & Gordon are ever going to go back, and most likely your girls won’t either. I don’t know who is in charge of their customer relations department but that has got to be a thankless job, if they even have one. Personally, whenever I feel screwed over by a company that refuses to stand by their work, I never go back. Never.
On a much happier note, thank you for the new Clean Sweep. I look forward eagerly to each new installment. Helps with the withdrawal pains from Kateverse.
