SWEEP OF THE BLADE went to the copyeditor last night. Boom, done, off my plate. We are looking into audio narrators. The audio edition will likely be after the print and e-edition, but hopefully not by much. I’ve contacted Doris to see if we can get additional art because the length is now firmly in the novel range.
Still to do list:
- implement CE’s corrections
- implement content editor’s second pass suggestions
- arrange for proofread, implement proofreader’s corrections
- format the art
- send everything to the agency for the final format
- choose the audio reader
Most of the audio reader screening will be handled by the agency, which is awesome, but we will still need to make final decisions. It’s so complicated. It’s not enough to just find the right audio reader. They have to have their own studio and then someone has to process the file and then they might not have a spot in their schedule, etc, etc.
Mission for today is to bring the Hidden Legacy website into some semblance of an attractive site. It has a placeholder theme on it right now. Original was built with Divi builder and looked lovely but was slow as molasses.
Ugh. I might need some tea.
My child can write an app. However, she still fails to successfully clean her glasses with a glasses wipe. 🙂
Okay. Hidden Legacy. Onward.
