Graphic Audio have RELEASED THE FERRETS!

The dramatized adaptation of White Hot, the second novel in the Hidden Legacy series is out today.

In backstage news, Megan Hastie (the intrepid Hidden Legacy GA director) is getting a lot of input on Caesars and Vicky Babies from me at the moment as she started adapting Wildfire. Megan is also putting together an Alessandro Sagredo sampler for House Andrews to give their opinion on casting. A flight of Counts, if you will. Ah, some people have all the luck.

  5. I have it downloaded on my phone and on my mini iPad. When I saw the download on my phone, the first thought was the ferret heist. Then the “Mission Impossible” music came into my head. 🤣

    “Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to infiltrate a highly guarded mansion to get a hard drive necessary for friends next steps. The way to get into this highly guarded mansion is given by your animal mage friend. This recording will self-destruct in …3, 2, 1.”

    My road trip coming up soon will be a good time to listen. 😁

  16. Yay! Ferrets! Woo-hoo!

    This is one of my favorites in the Hidden Legacy series because of the animal mages and their animal partners.

    I can see Bunny smiling all the time! And all I want to do is make cookies for Bunny and Matilda — even if they’re just characters in a book.

    I just received my download from Graphic Audio, so I am off to listen to White Hot.

  19. I really enjoyed each of the snippets of the audiobooks. I think the voice fit perfect with each of the characters in the book. I did love the ferrets and badger episode.

  20. Good. I hope they will take more care than they did for the first book. The innkeeper series and the Kate series are so beautifully done that I would hope it would spur Graphic Audio to do just as fine a job on casting.

  21. OMG! I’ve been avoiding the GA editions, because I have ebook, hard copies, and regular audiobooks of the HA books, but these snippets are making me rethink my decision. Leon’svoice is perfect and the ferrets!

  22. Thank you HA for introducing me to Graphic Audio. I love listening to audio books while playing my cozy video games. I don’t like Audible’s direction/policies right now and canceled my subscription to them. But, I realized that I was only getting the Graphic Audio books on there anyway (they call it “Dramatized Adaptation”). So, I went straight to the source and am now listening directly on Graphic Audio’s app and site! I love it so much!!

  24. Weird Question, How does one say MII? M eye eye, M2, M duece(my fave) ? just wondering M eye eye seems longer than Just saying Montgomery’s so that I find myself wondering.

    • Waiting for Wildfire to binge listen to all three.
      After Burn for Me, I had withdrawals and kept checking the GA app to see if I had listen to the whole book.
      Nope… not going there again. I’ll pretend White Hot is not there 🫣 and magically appears with Wildfire 😆

Totally unrelated, but I received today a package from etsy shop SweetAnnet, and the Halloween tree looks a lot like a dushegub (though I’ll have to change the crossstitch pattern to one pneumatic drill or something) so if anyone like crossstitching, it might be worth checking that shop. I would have upload a pic, but I don’t know how

  32. I am saving GA’s White Hot for next week, I have to clean out the den/library. This past weekend I re-listened to Iron & Magic while cleaning out our master bathroom cabinets and closet.

    House Andrews’ audiobooks have made my cleanings so much easier 🤣
    The months of September and October start the “end of year, clean out a room, every weekend time”.

    I realise it’s highly unlikely an animal mage can bond with a human partner even once, let alone twice, but in his case I’m firmly Team Facts be damned.

  34. I’m finding the male voices are too quiet on a lot of the Audible books. Even traditional single narrator versions. I’d have no chance of hearing Leon’s voice via the bluetooth audio in my car stereo without making the narrator excruciating loud in the car. The other two snippets are better & clearer, not whispered like some of the single narrators have done for the male characters lines.

  36. when Scarborough Faire was sung, I was so amazed! I loved the singing! Thank you Graphic Audio for going that far. it was such a great addition. Was that actor chosen because he could sing? The regular readers for these books have been really good, but I love that Graphic Audio has gone above and beyond.

    • The scene with Cornelius singing for his love was emphasised to the director, and House Andrews collaborated in finding the right song 🙂

  37. I know this is NOT something anyone can do anything about but I want to comment.
    The background music during the lead up to the ferret heist I found very distracting. Its supposed to be an introspective somewhat serious moment and the music sounds like a strange fluty elevator jazz song.

    The rest of the heist is just fabulous!

  39. I laughed my a** of reading the loen scene in the book hearing it made me flop on the floor on hearing the voice of one of my favorite characters

  41. They did a great job with the first 2 books! I enjoyed them very much and can’t wait for the rest. Is there going to be a book or two about Arabella? I just read the short story and really want to read more about her and her power.
